Have you ever spent hours searching for a simple, yet powerful song editor? Well, search no further. WavePad is a free software rich with features whether you are cutting out a certain segment or converting to a different file type. I have found several uses for WavePad, but the one I appreciate the most is creating ring tones. Simply open your song with WavePad, select the 30 second segment you would like, cut it, then paste it into a new window (File > New). Finally save your clip after selecting the type of file format that your phone will except. Then upload your new ringtone to your phone… instructions for this varies widely depending on phone and carrier. I will share a couple methods in future posts. Give WavePad a try!
